Apres Ski - Châtel/La Chapelle

The neighbouring villages of Châtel and La Chapelle offer visitors a wide choice of Apres Ski/nightlife.

If a day on the slopes has not tired you out then you will find the outdoors ice rink on Lac du Vonnes stays open 'til 10pm at least one night each week. Don't forget that you can always try skiing on the floodlight main piste above the Linga lifts in Châtel, and the luge run at Pre la Joux runs all year round and is open 'til late most evenings. If you really can see in the dark why not book places on the weekly torchlight descent - details and bookings can be made via the tourist office in the centre of Châtel.

Châtel has two Cinemas, and several lively bars, which stay open to the early hours. Another lively attraction is the ultra modern 4 lane AMF bowling alley with its bar, pool tables and arcade games. The large choice of restaurants offering typical French cuisine, is complimented by several restaurants specialising in Italian, Indian, Greek, and Spanish food.

La Chapelle offers a cinema, a night club, several excellent restaruants, a lot more bars and the Fer Rouge pub offering excellent evening meals, and real ale brewed on the premises.

Nightlife- Châtel/La Chapelle

Châtel now has two lively night-clubs (le Jeans Club and le Lagon Bleu) offering music and dancing into the early hours every day except Sunday when they close at Midnight (unlike La Chapelle where you can go on till 2.00). Real night owls head to the night-club just over the border in Morgins.

Like most resorts remember that Friday night is mayhem so if you want a seat or even space to rest your drink be early!
